Entheogenic
Entheogenic
Entheogenic is a musical project consisting of Piers Oak-Rhind and Helmut Glavar that crosses musical style boundaries. Since the early 1980s, the Austrian musician and songwriter Helmut Glavar has founded a variety of bands, ranging from punk and funk to new wave and drums-and-bass. Piers Oak-Rhind was born in England and has been a sound designer, programmer and musician since the early 1990s. He studied guitar at the London School of Guitar. According to the two members, the music mixes "coloristic electrophonics" with"impressionistic orchestra-like sound".
The use of both eastern and western vocals, tribal-sounding instruments, and an array of synthesizers built the foundation of the Entheogenic sound.
According to some people, Entheogenic was one of the two major psybient projects whose experimentation influenced the psychedelic electronic scene. Entheogenic's first release Entheogenic is a concept album that recounts the tale of an Ayahuasca journey, with layered trance melodies and texturally rich arrangements. Three labels bid for the release: the former UK-based Flying Rhino, the German-based Cosmophilia and the Spanish 3D Vision.

Dissisoma
Dissisoma
21 year old Tyler Salas is Atlanta based DJ and producer, dissisoma. She began her journey through music when she picked up a saxophone, and eventually learned to diddle around on six different instruments. At the age of 16, she began producing and mixing under the name of Dissipayt, throwing down with heavy dubstep and hybrid trap. However, finding that her own music just didn't seem to fit, she explored all the different sounds out there and decided to let her style loose, influenced by everything from jazz and old school rap to trip hop and psychedelic dub. Emerging with a new sound, a new message, and a new name, dissisoma brings together odd, often alien-like yet primal noises with very tribal beats, infusing her songs with a certain "what is going on" quality. She has played in Atlanta, Asheville, and festivals including Georgia's own Moonshine Festival.
